Aims and Scope

The growth of Information Technology (IT) has been phenomenal since the middle of the last century. It has affected all aspects of life in one way or another. The effects on society of the technology has been most dramatic in its applications. Strangely enough there are far more journals on the science of the technology rather than its application. In launching this journal, we hope to redress the balance a little.

The objective of this journal is to disseminate information on the application of IT and to be a platform for discussing its benefits and its impact on society. We welcome articles which analyse the impact of these IT applications on its community and which elaborate on their implementation issues.

The criteria for selecting papers for the journal include: the subject area of the article; new ideas about applications and implementation techniques; how well the information is presented; level of interest to other readers; and, the importance to the IT community. All papers will be subject to a rigorous reviewing procedure.

Hopefully, contributions to this journal will help direct society towards a more beneficial use of IT.

International Journal of Information Technology (IJIT) is hosted by LILY Research Centre, Nanyang Technological University.
