Data and Robotic Intelligence

2014 was the year where humans and intelligent technologies are coming together more closely than ever before. The research field of human-agent collectives has gained traction in major artificial intelligence conferences. 4 out of the 5 disruptive technologies identified by Tech Trends are related to the interaction between humans and intelligent computing. Depending on whether intelligent computing techniques are being manifested on a physical device capable of autonomous actions, they can be classified as either data or robotic intelligence. In this issue, we select interesting contributions from these two perspectives for the IJIT readers.

The goal of this issue is to foster research in related to data and robotic intelligence. We aim to bring together scholars to share application oriented techniques in this field with our readers.
